I got to Keele Thursday afternoon and honestly when I saw my dorm room/block my first thought was "seriously this is where I will be living for the next 9 months."

But then I went for a walk around campus and I fell in love. Well not in love with the entire campus. The majority looks like any American university campus. Exept the student union that is. In all honesty the student Union is a piece of crap and that is putting it nicely. Maybe it is normal for British Uni's student unions to be like this but it is nothing like the U of U student union. where is the bowling alley people! There are however plenty of places to get alcohol which I guess is what is important in College. The place that I feel in love with is Keele Hall.

Gorgeous righ? It is a shame that non of my classes are here but we did have a second welcome to England party in the ballroom. It is kind of sad that the history of this house has been taken out to provide another party room for university students. (I will do a blog post about the History of Keele at some point. witches honor)
So basically for the last couple of days all that has been going on is a bunch of parties and watching everyone get drunk. yay! I must say though I am in a state of shock. Maybe it is because I have lived in Utah my whole life but no one here knows what a mormon is. Ok that is a lie. 1 out of 5 people knows what a mormon is. and I cant say I am LDS because that just boggles their minds. It really is strange. When I emailed my new bishop he told me there are 6 members going to Keele. It was at that point that I knew I was no longer in Utah.
Sunday night (which I guess is tonight) Morgan, Anna and I went to Karoke. I would say that it was a bad idea but it was actually kind of hilarious. While Morgan and I waited for Anna we were watching the New Orleans vs Atlanta football game. You all must know that I do not understand football at all. It just makes no sense to me. can it even be considered a spot. they run for two seconds and then stop for five minutes. hence why we have rename the game stopball. Learn it , live it, love it. :D We ended up sitting next to 4 semi drunk British Guys. Twas quite hilarious if you ask me. They understood the game less than I did and they made it a point to cheer for the opposite team that Morgan wanted to win. They also were making fun of how pointless the game was and then Morgan made the mistake of asking them if they were fans of Football (meaning the american football. This made them laugh and they brought up the point that we call a game football but it is mostly played with your hands. Moral of the story they are fans of Football but not football. You cant really expect much from druken guys but the best part of the night was when one of them out of nowhere turns to us and asks "Do they have KFC in america?" when we told him it was actually from america I think we boggled his mind. but then he proceeded to tell us why it is so much better here in England than in America. you cant really aruge with a druken person so after a few more minutes we just walked away.
